Here’s the Latest With Rachel Panchal Music
This is my latest vocal cover, “Is That Alright?” from A Star Is Born. I decided to do this cover as a follow up to my cover of “Always Remember Us This Way” from A Star Is Born which crossed 1 million streams on Spotify in 2021. I am releasing “Is That Alright?” in April of 2022. Each of these covers are a softer version of the power ballads displayed by the most amazing Lady Gaga in the movie. I hope you like my spin on these! I love both of the songs, and secretly (or not so secretly) wish I wrote them!
I had the honor of being in a female choir featured on tracks 1, 11, and 12 of the Weeknd’s new album, “Dawn FM”.
My voice underscored a fight scene between Colbie Smulders and Cynthia Kaye McWilliams, to none other than the epic tune of “Girls Just Wanna have Fun.” It starts out as a slow, a capella version of the song with harmonies (my voice layered on top of itself), and as the fight gets more intense, it grows into the actual Cyndi Lauper Version by the end of the scene. This was such a fun gig!
I sang in the stadium chorus at the end of “Sing 2”.
